Doctrinal Statement

We believe that the Bible is God's inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word, that God used holy men to write His words, and that it is our sole authority and is absolutely trustworthy for all matters of faith, conduct, and life.

(II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21, John 10:35, John 17:17, Matthew 4:4)

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three distinct, yet equal persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

(Psalm 90:2, Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19-20, II Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power.  We rejoice that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men and women, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

(Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 6:3, James 3:17, Genesis 17:1, I Peter 5:7, Jeremiah 33:3, John 14:6)

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, sinless in His life, and making atonement for the sin of the world by His death on the cross.  We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His high priestly intercession for his people and His personal, visible, and imminent return to the world according to His promise.

(John 3:16, Matthew 1:18, Hebrews 4:15, John 19:30)

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from God to convince the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and to regenerate, indwell, sanctify, and comfort all who believe in Jesus Christ.

(John 16:7-11)

We believe that all men and women are by nature and by choice sinners, but those who accept Christ as their Lord and Savior will rejoice forever in God's presence in Heaven, and those who refuse to accept Christ as Lord and Savior will be forever separated from God in Hell.

(Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23)

We believe in the church as a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the head and of which all regenerated people are members.

(Ephesians 1:22-23, Colossians 1:18, Romans 12:5)

We believe that a visible church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, buried with him in baptism and associated for worship, work, and fellowship.

(I Corinthians 1:2, Ephesians 1:1, I Thessalonians 1:1)

We believe to these visible churches were committed the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper, and that God has laid upon these churches the task of persuading a lost world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him as Lord and Master.

(Matthew 28:19, I Corinthians 11:23-26)
